PM Modi extends greetings on Eid Milad-Un-Nabi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended his greetings on the occasion of Eid Milad-Un-Nabi.

"Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi. May the spirit of peace, harmony and compassion be strengthened in society," the Prime Minister tweeted.

Eid Milad-Un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Mohammad is being celebrated in various parts of the country today.

People decorated houses, shops, streets and markets to celebrate the birth anniversary of the prophet.

Hundreds of people thronged Hazratbal shrine in Srinagar for nightlong prayers, amid chilling cold.
