PM Modi extends greetings on Guru Purnima

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended his greetings on the occasion of Gurur Purnima.

Prime Minister Modi took to his Twitter handle to wish the nation.

"Greetings on the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima," he tweeted.

Guru Purnima is a festival dedicated to spiritual and academic teachers.

The day of full moon, Purnima, in the month of Ashadh of the Hindu calendar is traditionally celebrated as Guru Purnima.

The celebration is marked by ritualistic respect to the guru, Guru Puja.
