Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday evening left for Argentina to attend G20 summit. During various sessions of G20 summit, PM Modi will also have informal BRICS meeting and bilateral meetings with various world leaders.

Before emplaning, Prime Minister Modi addressed two rallies in Rajasthan. Earlier, he visited Singapore and Maldives, while the campaigning for Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh assembly polls was at its peak.

On the day of his arrival on November 29 in Argentina, Prime Minister Modi is slated to attend and address a "Yoga for Peace" event in Buenos Aires.

On November 30, the Prime Minister is scheduled to meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Prime Minister of Netherlands Mark Rutte. The Prime Minister may engage informally with other leaders as well.

Prime Minister Modi will also engage in an informal Russia-India-China (RIC) meeting on the sidelines of G20 summit.

Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale at a press conference said that Prime Minister Modi will be addressing the summit and will discuss important topics including Ayushman Bharat, MUDRA Yojana, Jan Dhan scheme and GST.

Gokhale also revealed that the theme for the 10th G20 summit as decided by Buenos Aires is "building consensus for fair and sustainable development."

Prime Minister Modi will also highlight several challenges including the threat posed by oil price volatility which has directly impacted the Indian economy, and the digital revolution, considering how it can lead to an employment opportunity, said Gokhale.

During the summit, Prime Minister Modi will make the pitch for other countries, which are not between the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn to join the International Solar Alliance.

One of the focal points of the G20 will be a multilateral meeting on World Trade Organisation (WTO) and the reforms needed in the organisation in a manner that it serves India's interest.

Prime Minister Modi will also focus on the need for reformed multilateralism which reflects the contemporary realities and can effectively strengthen collective action for global good.

On December 1, the Prime Minister will meet with the Prime Minister of Argentine. He will also engage with the President of the European Union (EU) and the President of the European Council. Prime Minister Modi will meet with the heads of several countries including Spain and Jamaica.

The Prime Minister will return to India in the wee hours of 3rd December only to take off again within 12 hours, to resume his political campaigning in Rajasthan and Telangana, for the next two days. On December 3, Prime Minister Modi will campaign in Jodhpur and Hyderabad.
