PM Modi meets Nepal's Foreign Minister

Prime Minister Narendra Modi who is on a two-day visit to Nepal, met the country's External Affairs Minister (EAM) Mahendra Bahadur Pandey here on Sunday.

The meeting is a part of Modi's maiden bilateral visit to fellow SAARC nation Nepal.

He is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Nepal in 17 years, and in his departure statement he has said that he hopes to take the Indo-Nepal relationship to an entirely new level.

Upon his arrival in Kathmandu today, Modi was received by Nepal's Prime Minister Sushil Koirala and was also given the Guard of Honour at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Modi will hold talks with Koirala and is also scheduled to address the country's Constituent Assembly.

The visit is expected to bring a huge improvement in Indo-Nepal relations.
