Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday saluted former prime minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on his birth anniversary.
Prime Minister Modi took to twitter for extending his greetings.
"A tall mass leader who dedicated his life to the welfare of farmers and the poor, I salute Chaudhary Charan Singh ji on his birth anniversary," he wrote.
Chaudhary Charan Singh, who had served as the sixth prime minister from 28 July 1979 until 14 January 1980, passed away in 1987.
