Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, had a telephone conversation today with his Australian counterpart, Tony Abbott, at the request of the Australian side.
Abbott thanked Prime Minister Modi for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him during his recent visit to India.
Prime Minister Modi said that during his visit, Prime Minister Abbott had touched the heart of every Indian.
The visit had resulted in concrete outcomes and added new dimensions to the strategic partnership between India and Australia.
Both the Prime Ministers agreed to actively follow up the decisions reached in the summit. Prime Minister Abbott conveyed that a warm welcome awaits Prime Minister Modi for his bilateral visit to Australia in November 2014 after the G-20 Summit.
Prime Minister Abbott conveyed sympathy and solidarity in connection with the floods in Jammu and Kashmir. Both Prime Ministers also exchanged views on regional and international developments.
