In an encounter between the police and security forces, three suspected terrorists were gunned down in Quetta's Essa Nagri area, reports the Dawn.
The firing was in retaliation to an exchange of fire that took place between police personnel and armed terrorists. Meanwhile, additional forces were sent to the area.
The bodies of the three suspected terrorists were shifted to Civil Hospital in Quetta.
Earlier in the day, four policemen were shot dead by unidentified assailants in Killi Deba area here.
Prior to this, the gunmen had opened indiscriminate fire at a police mobile while it was patrolling the area.
In what was termed as an act of targeted killing, Superintendent of Police Quaidabad Mubarak Shah also lost his life along with three others.
