Glitter nail polish is the best way to ensuring your laptop hasn't been tampered with, security experts have revealed.

According to security researchers Eric Michaud and Ryan Lackey, glitter nail polish is the perfect choice for making the tamper-proof seal as its random pattern is extremely hard to replicate, the Independent reported.

Physical tampering with devices to steal data, or installing malware for monitoring purposes has been on the rise as several people have reported such problems while traveling

The technique is inspired by the method used by astronomers to spot minute changes in the night sky.
