President Pranab Mukherjee on Saturday attended the 70th anniversary celebrations of Victory Day here, which
commemorates Russia's triumph over the Nazis in the Second World War.
A 70-member Indian Army contingent from the Grenadiers also took part in the parade.
The President is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with his Russian counterpart Vladimir later.
President Mukherjee, who is on a four-day visit to Russia, is accompanied by Minister of State for Railways Manoj Sinha and the heads of several top Indian educational institutions, including the Vice Chancellor of Delhi University and Directors of IITs Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai.
