The controversial 1976 film, 'The Message', based on the life of Prophet Muhammed, is all set to release in Saudi Arabia.
The movie stars Anthony Quinn, Irene Papas, Michael Ansara, Johnny Sekka, and Michael Forest.
The historical epic was banned in Arab territories as it encountered the opposition from authorities and forcing the crew to move to Morocco and re-create model cities of Mecca and Medina for the shoot, confirmed The Hollywood Reporter.
During its release, the movie faced heavy backlash and theatrical banning in Middle Eastern territories.
The newly restored version of the film also received its world premiere at the Dubai International Film Festival and is now due to travel across the region in time for Eid.
'The Message' is one of the only films about the birth of Islam.
