The two terrorists who were gunned down by security forces on Saturday in Pulwama have been identified as members of the terrorist outfit Hizb-ul Mujahideen.
"On the basis of specific information, a search operation was launched. In a brief shootout, two terrorists were killed. They belonged to Hizb-ul Mujahideen. Arms and ammunition have been recovered. There was no collateral damage in the encounter," said Deputy General of Police (DGP) of Kashmir Range, SP Pani.
The encounter broke out in Tikken area of Pulwama district on Saturday.
The bodies of the slain terrorists along with incriminating materials including arms and ammunition were recovered from the site of the shootout.
