The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday slammed Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi as a 'rent-a-cause leader' who has returned from a vacation to go back to his photo-ops.
"Rahul Gandhi is a rent-a-cause leader. He has returned from a vacation to go back to his photo-ops. Now the monsoon session is on, so Rahul Gandhi needs to show his presence, hence the photo-op is happening," BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh told ANI.
He further stated that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party believe in poverty elevation and not alleviation.
The Congress scion had earlier today said that the poor in Delhi are being sidelined from the city, after he met street vendors in the Raghubir Nagar area of the national capital.
He was accompanied by Congress leaders Ajay Maken and PC Chacko.
