Commenting on the statement made by BJP President Rajnath Singh in the United States that Narendra Modi would be the man for the top job in India, Senior Congress leader Oscar Fernandes said here today that Rahul Gandhi would be India's Prime Minister.
Speaking at the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee Oscar Fernandes said: "We have people's blessings with us and the only ray of hope for the poor people of this country is Sonia Gandhi."
Bharatiya Janata Party president Rajnath Singh, who is currently on a five-day visit to the United States, said that Narendra Modi would be the man for the top job if the BJP returns to power after the 2014 general elections.
Fernandes also spoke about the repeated Chinese incursions in the Indian territory and said that these issues will be duly resolved by the Government.
"These issues will be taken up with China and when you are not able to resolve these issues through dialogues and diplomatic channels, then the next question comes. Our External Affairs Ministry will take up the issue and we will resolve it," he said
Around 50 Chinese soldiers riding on horses and ponies, intruded into the Indian territory in the Chumar sector in Ladakh on July 16.
