Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh (RSS) national spokesperson Ram Madhav om Sunday, dismissed speculation that the RSS was running the BJP through remote-control and ruled itself out of meddling in the functioning of the BJP-led Government at the centre.

"With people's mandate, a popular Government is set to form the Government. We have not been involved in politics at all, RSS only tried to awaken people to vote for nation and now our mission has been accomplished. Sangh will not do remote control, we are not a political organization and hence will not involve itself in the work of Government," Madhav said.

On being asked about building a Ram temple in the disputed site of Ayodhya, Madhav categorically stated that "BJP will fulfill all the promises made in their manifesto."

Madhav asserted that Sangh didnt give any guideline to anyone, and that it was the BJP which had set an agenda and the nation had accepted it, and therefore it is they who will decide how to take the nation forward.

When asked about Mohan Bhagwat and the RSS being linked with terror activities, Madhav rubbished all the charges and said, "These were all false allegations leveled as part of a conspiracy to taint RSS and its top leaders. The people have given a clear reply in response to all these allegations with their vote."

His statement comes after there were several meetings between the BJP and the RSS leaders ahead of Tuesday's BJP parliamentary party meeting in which Narendra Modi will be named its leader for taking over as Prime Minister.
