Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev on Monday said that "Putrajeevak (Beej) has 'no relationship with the birth of a boy or a girl'.
Addressing the media here today, Ramdev said that 'making unnecessary comments by just going through the name reflects one's ignorance'.
He criticised the Uttarakhand Government's move to set up a committee to examine his 'Putrajeevak Beej' by just going through the name.
The Harish Rawat-led Uttarakhand Government has set up a committee to examine the 'Putrajeevak Beej', an ayurvedic product which , according to reports, promises a male child, produced by Ramdev's pharmacy.
According to reports, the three-member committee has been asked to submit its report within a week. The report would then be sent to the Centre.
Janata Dal (United) leader KC Tyagi had earlier demanded a ban on the product, which he claimed promises the birth of a male child. He had also suggested stringent action to be initiated against the manufacturer.
