Indian fishermen from Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu were attacked by the Sri Lankan Navy on Tuesday.
According to reports, the fishermen were attacked off the coast of the Katchatheevu island, which is administered by Sri Lanka.
The Sri Lankan Navy reportedly warned the fishermen to return to Indian waters, before pelting them with stones.
No casualties have been reported.
