Ratan Watal appointed as new Finance Secretary(Update)

Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the designation of Ratan Watal as the new Finance Secretary on Monday.

Incumbent Home Secretary L C Goyal who had sought voluntary retirement from his services has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of India Trade Promotion Organisation (ITPO).

Rajiv Mehrishi took charge as the new Home Secretary earlier today.
