Former union minister and Congress leader Manish Tewari on Tuesday described the reported news of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Ram Madhav joining the BJP as a mere formalisation of the hold of the RSS over the BJP.
"Well the RSS is considered to be the mother of the BJP and in a sorted number of organisations in the right. It is also said that the remote control of the BJP is in the hands of the RSS. So, if Ram Madhav will not go to the BJP he obviously will not be coming to the Congress. Therefore, it is in a sense formalisation of control process now that the BJP has a government in Delhi," Tewari told ANI.
Madhav, who is currently the head of the media and public relations at the RSS, has been reportedly deputed by the Sangh to work in the BJP.
The RSS had previously deputed many of its leaders to the BJP, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has been an RSS "pracharak" (organizer).
