Cruzeiro midfielder Everton Ribeiro has opened talks with Manchester United over a January transfer, according to reports.
According to Metro.co.uk, Ribeiro, who is rated as one of the rising stars in Brazil, has been strongly linked with a move to United in the last few weeks.
Despite Cruzeiro initially suggesting that the 24-year-old was not for sale, his agent has revealed that negotiations are already underway over a move to Old Trafford, the report said.
Any deal for Ribeiro would likely cost in excess of 15 million pounds, but United are keen to add at least one midfielder to their squad in Janaury, and have been following a number of targets, the report added.
