Rio Olympics: Indian women's archery team qualify for quarterfinals

The Indian women's archery team on Sunday qualified for the quarterfinals after beating Columbia 5-3 on Day Two of the Rio Olympics here.

The Indian team of Deepika Kumari, Laxmirani Majhi and Bombayla Devi Laishram will now meet the Russian team of T. Dashidorzhieva, K. Perova, and I. Stepanova in the last eight round later in the day.

The team faced tough opposition from Colombia in the 1/8 Elimination round of the women's recurve archery event but eventually came out on top to set up last eight clash with Russia.
