Royal Wedding: Mumbai-based NGO in Markle, Harry's donation list

Mumbai-based organisation Myna Mahila Foundation has made it to the list of seven charity trusts chosen by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their friends and followers to make donations rather than sending gifts to mark the British Royal Wedding.

Earlier, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have asked anyone who wish to gift them to consider making a donation to charity.

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have asked that anyone who might wish to mark the Royal Wedding considers making a donation to charity, rather than sending a wedding gift," read a tweet from the official Kensington Palace account.

Myna Mahila Foundation provides access to menstrual hygiene education and products to more than 10000 women every month at their doorstep in urban slums in Mumbai.

Another charitable organization that made it to the Royal list is Scotty's Little Soldiers - a charity for bereaved British Forces children.

Launched in 2007, StreetGames is the third one. It helps over 900 community organisations across the United Kingdom to take sport to the doorstep in disadvantaged communities.

Another one is 'Chiva', which works with children and young people living with HIV in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The list also includes 'Crisis' that helps homeless people get into suitable housing, training courses, with mental health support, as well as campaigning for change.

'Surfers Against Sewage' is another charity that tackles with plastic pollution.

The last one is the 'Wilderness Foundation', which works towards the welfare of the young people.

Harry and Markle sealed their wedding vows with a kiss outside Windsor Castle's St. George's Chapel on Saturday.

The couple exchanged rings in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II and 600 celebrity guests.

Internationally acclaimed Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, who sported a lilac Vivienne Westwood dress suit and fascinator, was among the high-profile guests which included Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney, David and Victoria Beckham, Idris Elba, Elton John, Tom Hardy, James Corden, James Blunt, Carey Mulligan.

Tennis star Serena Williams and rugby star Jonny Wilkinson were also present.
