The Rajya Sabha has been adjourned till 12 p.m. as uproar continued over the demonetisation move.
Union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said, "The opposition is making their accusations but the moment we stand up to answer they storm the well of House to protest."
Leader of Opposition in the House, Ghulam Nabi Azad, replied saying, "The opposition wanted homage to be paid to those who died post demonetisation, but the government refused it."
"This is the reason why the opposition staged protest at Gandhi statue in Parliament premises today and paid homage to those people," he added.
The opposition is observing a 'black day' today to mark the one month since the decision to scrap old notes was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a bid to curb black money and corruption.
