Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) spokesperson Manoj Jha on Friday said that the Rashtriya Swayam Sewak Sangh (RSS) not only controls the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), but also decides the policies of the NDA Government, which the latter heads.

He said, "The Republic of India is being converted into the Republic of Fear, and it is so ironical that the home minister (Rajnath Singh) is briefing the RSS about national security."

He told ANI, "The opening line of the Indian Constitution is 'We the people of India'. People elected this BJP-led government, but did not expect the issue of governance and sovereignty to be decided at the doorsteps of Nagpur (RSS) headquarters.

"I can sense the images of Nazi Germany, which is harmful for the nation," he added.

Jha futher said that everybody, cutting across political spectrum, should come together and expose this RSS posturing, which would damage whatever has been achieved so far.
