The ruling Communist Party of Nepal Unified Marxist-Leninist (CPN-UML) on Friday gave final shape to 31 departments.
Since the party's ninth General Convention in July 2014, the departments were functionless owing to not having the required personnel, reports the Himalayan Times.
In April, the party formed a three-member task force to recommend the names in the departments.
General Secretary Ishwor Pokharel led the task force while Secretary duo Prithvi Subba Gurung and Gokarna Bista were the members.
According to a statement issued by General Secretary Pokharel, Party Chairman and Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli would lead the Party's School Department, Senior leader and former prime minister Madhav Kumar Nepal would lead the Foreign Affairs Department.
