Despite ban in Pakistan, Kabir Khan's directorial 'Phantom', starring Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif seems to be doing well at the domestic box-office, as it has cashed-in Rs 33.18 crores in its opening weekend.
According to sources, the action thriller, which was released on August 28, collected merely Rs 8.46 crores on its opening day, however, the collections rose up on the very next day on account of the Raksha Bandhan and grossed Rs 12.78 crores on Saturday and Rs 11.94 crores on Sunday.
After releasing on 2600 screens, the film has also performed well at the overseas box office with an approximate collection of Rs 6.62 crores in just two days.
Produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Siddharth Roy Kapur, the film is an adaptation of the novel Mumbai Avengers.
