Sandberg sells 91-mln-dollars worth Facebook stock

The chief operating officer of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg, has sold 91 million dollars worth of the company's stock, according to US securities filings.

According to news.com.au, Facebook shares dropped in value after being sold at their initial public offering in May 2012 for 38 dollars.

Only in past days has it has recovered and surpassed that value as the company shares closed on Friday at 38.50 dollars, the report said.

Sandberg still holds more than 25 million shares, representing approximately 1 billion dollars, according to the filing, released late on Friday, the report added.
