The Supreme Court on Thursday accepted the Central Board of Secondary Education's (CBSE) plea to allot more time for rescheduling the cancelled All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) entrance exam and has listed the case for June 19.
The Supreme Court on June 15 had set aside the AIPMT entrance exam and directed the CBSE to re-conduct the exam in four weeks.
However, CBSE had asked the Supreme Court for more time to reschedule the exam, saying that it was not possible to do so in four weeks as it is in process of conducting seven other exams.
The move came in after the petitioners sought the re-conducting of the AIPMT following the leak of the question paper and the circulation of answers at examination centres across ten states.
