SC issues notice to centre, states on security arrangements at religious places

The Supreme Court has issued notice to the central government and all state governments to provide proper security arrangements at public places, especially places of religious worship.

A bench headed by Chief Justice P. Sathasivam has asked both to file their responses to a public interest litigation (PIL) alleging that they have failed to ensure the safety and security of the lives of pilgrims visiting religious spots.
