An official belonging to a security agency was killed, while another was critically injured, after unidentified assailants fired at their vehicle in the Karachi's Saddar area.
The personnel were rushed to Jinnah Hospital for treatment, but a security official identified as Razzaq succumbed to his injuries while the other injured official, Khadim, reports the Dawn.
The military vehicle was fired upon by unidentified gunmen near Parking Plaza on New MA Jinnah Road.
Security officials have cordoned off the area while forensic officials have reached the spot to collect evidence that will aid the investigation.
In December last year, two Military Police officials were killed after their vehicle was fired upon by unidentified gunmen near Tibet Centre on MA Jinnah road.
