Seminar on Bamboo research and development held in Jorhat

A two-day national seminar on "Recent Advances on Bamboo Research and Development in India" was held recently at the Rain Forest Research Institute in Jorhat.

The seminar was organised by the institute under the aegis of the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education.

Around 80 scientists from across the country took part in the seminar.

As part of the event a bamboo craft mela was also organized, wherein 25 stalls exhibited various bamboo products.
