Seven killed as bus catches fire near Haveri in Karnataka

At least seven persons were charred to death and 21 others injured when a Mumbai-bound bus caught fire after hitting a road divider in Haveri district of Karnataka early this morning.

According to reports, the mishap took place at around 3.20 a.m. near Kunimelli bridge, off Bankapura Cross in Haveri district of central Karnataka.

The bus, operated by Bangalore-based National Travels, was on its way from Bangalore to Mumbai.
