Several people were reportedly injured in a shooting that took place inside a tram in Utrecht city of the Netherlands, police said on Monday.
The Utrecht police took to Twitter saying, "A shooting occurred on the 24 Oktoberplein in Utrecht. The incident has been reported at 10.45 hour. Multiple people have been injured."
The surrounding area has been cordoned off. "In this, we also take into account a possible terrorist motive," the police added.
However, an investigation into the matter is underway.
