After playing the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh in 'Padmavati', Shahid Kapoor will be next seen 'Batti Gul Meter Chalu'.
The movie is already making some buzz in the B-town, but not for the right reasons.
A leading daily reported that Shahid has conveyed the makers he was not keen to work with Katrina Kaif in the film, though the female lead of the film is yet to be finalised.
However, the 'Udta Punjab' star has put an end to all these rumours and termed as 'total rubbish'.
The actor cleared this news on his official Twitter page.
The 36-old-actor will play the role of a lawyer in the movie. The movie focuses on the issue of highly priced electricity bills which has become a common problem for the citizens.
Helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, the flick is slated to release on August 31, 2018.
