Six killed in militant attack in Assam

At least six persons were killed and ten others injured when suspected Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) militants opened fire on a group of people gambling on the occasion of Diwali in Assam's Goalpara district last night.

According to reports, the incident took place at Gendabari village under Agia Police Station.

All injured are undergoing treatment at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital.
