Six Maoists were killed in an encounter with the police forces near Etapalli tehsil in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli District today.
The police, which has recovered the dead bodies of the ultras, recovered one 303 carbine, three 12 bore rifles and some cartridges from the spot.
According to reports, the incident took place after a group of ultras fired at the C-60 battalion of Gadchiroli district police, who in turn retaliated.
