The Samajwadi Party workers were caught on camera thrashing toll booth attendants in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki District.
According to reports, the workers of the ruling party got furious yesterday when the toll attendants stopped the driver of their car from driving in the wrong lane. They got into a heated argument and turned violent by physically attacking the toll booth attendants.
The entire incident was recorded by a close circuit camera inside one of the booths.
Barabanki's Superintendent of Police, Abdul Hamid, on Saturday said that the investigations into the case were on.
"The case lists names of three unidentified people and investigations are on. CCTV footage has been given to us and after we see it, whatever comes forward we will look into it," he told the media.
