American golfer Jordan Spieth is ready for the upcoming 115th US Open championship at the links-style Chambers Bay Golf Club and believes that he has an edge over Rory Mcllroy and other rivals.
Chambers Bay Golf Club will be hosting its first major championship and Spieth believes he has an ace up his sleeve in the form of his caddie, Michael Greller, who has worked there before carrying Spieth's bag on the PGA Tour.
The world number two said that Greller told him some shots that he needed to get ready for Chambers. He needed a shot he could trust from the runoff areas as the greens are massive, so controlling the speed on these longer putts would be really important, Sport24 reported.
He insisted that it was going to be a lot of speed control at Chambers Bay and there would be different short game shots, almost like he was playing an Open Championship.
