Spy-fiction author Tom Clancy dies at 66

Tom Clancy, who was best known for his technically detailed spy-fiction set in the Cold war era, died in a hospital in Baltimore this Tuesday at the age of 66.
Clancy wrote detailed military thrillers, many of which were turned into successful films, the Mirror reported.
He also co-founded computer games developer Red Storm Entertainment and a number of popular titles that still bear his name including the Splinter Cell and Rainbow Six series.
