Sri Lanka's President Maithripala Sirisena will arrive here on Sunday beginning his four-day official trip to India.
The Lankan President will be ceremonially welcomed at the Rashtrapati Bhawan tomorrow. He will also pay homage to the Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.
Later, President Sirisena will hold talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The meeting with Prime Minister Modi will be structured both in terms of a restricted format as well as delegation level talks.
Both the leaders are expected to take steps to scale up economic cooperation between the two countries.
After the talks, some agreements are likely to be signed in the field of culture, people-to-people contact and agriculture.
President Pranab Mukherjee will also host a banquet in the honour of the Sri Lankan dignitary.
On Tuesday, the Lankan President will travel to Bodh Gaya and later to Tirupati. The President is expected to depart from Tirupati for Colombo early on Wednesday.
