SRK pays penalty for constructing ramp outside 'Mannat'

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who had constructed an illegal ramp outside his bungalow 'Mannat' in Mumbai, had to pay Rs. 1,93,784 as the cost of demolition revealed the reply by the Bombay Municipal Corporation to RTI activist Anil Galgali.

Galgali had sought information from the municipal administration about the action taken on the illegally constructed RCC ramp outside Khan's bungalow. He sought information about the cost incurred and payment received if any.

In a reply, Municipal Corporation Assistant Engineer (Inspection) of Bandra West ward informed Galgali that after the order of the Municipal Commissioner a seven days' notice was issued on February 6 to the actor.

On termination of the notice period, the demolition of the RCC ramp was undertaken by the ward office on February 14 and 15.

The municipal corporation had issued a demanded notice of Rs 1, 93,784 towards the cost incurred on the demolition of the ramp. They gave seven days' time for the payment of the amount. The actor made the payment through a cheque.
