The reboot of the fan-based web series 'Star Trek
Thus far, the series has produced nine episodes and is about to release its 10th episode 'The Holiest Thing', that will also show the 38-year-old actor as new Captain Kirk, in the next few months, CNET.com reported.
Assistant Director Dennis Hotston said that fans called Gross "a better Captain Kirk than Captain Kirk" at the private screening of the new episode.
The crew is in a process to move into a new studio in Ticonderoga, N.Y. and they are building the sets exactly the same as they were at Desilu Studios in 1966, he added.
The 'Phase II' fans have launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund not only the studio move but to produce future episodes, which the creators say cost about 15,000 dollars each to make.
