Stephen Hawking biopic 'The Theory of Everything' is leading the Bafta nominations, with four major categories, including best film.
According to the BBC, Eddie Redmayne, who plays Professor Hawking, and Felicity Jones, who portrays his first wife Jane Wilde, are in the run for best actor and best actress respectively.
Meanwhile, Wes Anderson's 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' has the most citations at 11, including best actor for Ralph Fiennes, and superhero drama 'Birdman' stands even with Hawking biopic with 10 nominations apiece, followed by Alan Turing biopic starring Benedict Cumberbatch, 'The Imitation Game', on 9.
Redmayne, 33, said praised British film industry for being "incredibly kind," adding that it was amazing to be counted amongst such great actors in the list.
He also said that he had no rivalry with fellow nominee Cumberbatch, and said that he was an old friend and a magnificent actor, whom he had known for about 10 years.
