Members of Krantikari Yuva Sangathan (KYS) protested in front of outside Delhi University (DU) Vice Chancellor Dinesh Singh's residence today asking for Singh's resignation.

Delhi University aspirants have been left frustrated by the delay in admission process and confusion about the Four Year Undergraduate Programme.

A parent who reached Delhi for his son's admission said, "I came on the 23rd for admission of my son but I have no idea when the admission will begin."

He said, "We had to go tomorrow, our train ticket is booked but now it seems we will have to cancel it," adding, "We can't come everytime as it's expensive. We just wanted our son to have a good college. I don't care about UGC, I just want admissions to begin."

The Delhi University, which has been severely criticized for the delay in admissions, has proposed that the Honours courses in DU can be reverted back to the three year format while the B.Tech course can continue to be a four year one.

Delhi University's media coordinator Malay Neerav today said in a press conference that the varsity has sent a proposal to the University Grants Commission (UGC) regarding the same and a response was awaited from the UGC.
