Star striker Luis Suarez produced a scintillating performance as he smashed four goals in Barcelona's thumping 6-0 win over Sporting Gijon in their La Liga clash at Camp Nou on Sunday.
Barcelona remained in possession throughout the match with forward Lionel Messi putting his side ahead in the 12th minute of the game, the Guardian reported.
Suarez then netted three back to back goals. He doubled his side's lead in the 63rd minute before scoring two penalties within a span of three minutes.
Barcelona got their fifth goal through Junior Neymar in the 85th minute followed by another goal from Suarez as the hosts piled further misery on Sporting.
The Spanish Giants, which are currently leading the La Liga table, will next lock horns with Real Betis on May 1.
