British businesswoman Susanna Dinnage has refused to accept the position of chief executive of the English Premier League. In November, Dinnage was named as a replacement for Richard Scudamore who had been holding the post for 20 years.
The development was confirmed by the English Premier League through an official statement.
"Despite her commitment to the Premier League in early November, Susanna Dinnage has now advised the Nominations Committee that she will not be taking up the position of Chief Executive," the official statement read.
"The Committee has reconvened its search and is talking to candidates. There will be no further comment until an appointment is made," the statement added.
Dinnage is currently serving as the global president of Discovery's Animal Planet.
