Swara Bhaskar, who will be playing the role of a mother to a 15-year-old girl in her upcoming flick 'Nil Battey Sannata,' has revealed that initially, she thought that portraying such a character would have affect her image.

"There were people who told me it's not a good idea to do this role. I was scared about my image.I thought I will just read the script as the casting director is a friend and say that I did not like the story. But rather I loved it," said the actress during the trailer launch of

the movie in Mumbai yesterday.

"When the casting director Mukesh Chhabra came with this idea of a mother-daughter film, I thought I had to play the role of a daughter. I was shocked and told him that my career will go down as it's a mother's role," she added.

'Nil Battey Sannata,' directed by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari, is a story about the relationship between a mother and her daughter and their struggle in life.

Ashwiny, wife of 'Dangal' director Nitesh Tiwary, makes her direction debut with this film.

From the time the first poster of 'Nil Battey Sannata' was unveiled earlier this month by Swara Bhaskar and her bestie Sonam Kapoor, the unusual title of this film gained attention.

Speaking about the title, the director at the trailer launch said, "The title is slang, which means being an absolute zero or incompetent, in Uttar Pradesh. So we thought why not introduce the country to this quirky sounding title."

"Nil Battey Sannata is a family entertainer that is close to my spirit. Irrespective of one's past, everyone has the right to change their present for a positive future," added the director.

The trailer was even lauded by the Tinseltown as they showered their praises over their respective Twitter handles.
