Australian Twenty20 captain George Bailey has said that results are top priority for the team as they are without an international victory in any cricket format for more than 200 days.

According to Stuff.co.nz, Australia's UK tour continues with Thursday's opening T20 at the Rose Bowl in Southampton, and the tourists will now face England in two T20 games and five ODIs, as well as meeting Scotland in a one-off 50-over match in Edinburgh.

With Australia setting out to rediscover their winning factor in their T20 and one-day matches against England, Bailey said that Australia needs to make the most of the opportunity given to them with the upcoming games.

According to Bailey, the short form matches represent a genuine chance for some players like himself, Phillip Hughes, Shaun Marsh, Adam Voges and Fawad Ahmed to press selection claims for the return Ashes series in Australia this summer, adding that he expected performances in the limited-overs series to count for plenty.

Bailey further said that if a player is playing a lot of one-day and T20 cricket then he can miss some of the Australian summer of the domestic Sheffield Shield cricket, adding that the upcoming ODI and T20 tour is important to put the building blocks in place ahead of next year's T20 World Cup and the one-day World Cup in 2015.
