Failing to impress the audience, Universal's 'Ted 2' debuted with an underwhelming 32.9 million USD at the box office.
The presence of box office juggernauts 'Inside Out' and 'Jurassic World' which racked up 52.1 million USD and 54.2 million USD respectively, are being pointed as one of the reasons for the movie's poor performance, reported Fox News.
Interestingly, 'Jurassic World' now ranks as the fifth highest grossing domestic release of all time with 500 million USD.
It is the third consecutive weekend that the dinosaur thriller has topped North American charts.
The critically acclaimed Colin Trevorrow's directorial has earned a sizable 184.9 million USD since its release.
