Telangana: CID Inspector booked under Nirbhaya Act
A CID inspector has been booked under Nirbhaya Act for allegedly sending objectionable messages and pictures through social media networks to a woman here.
The Karimnagar police registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC against Dayakar Reddy, CID Inspector of CID wing Karimnagar, based on the complaint made by the 41-year-old woman.
It is reported that in the last four months, the accused had been sending objectionable messages and pictures to the woman's WhatsApp.
He even did not pay heed to her warnings. Unable to bear his harassment, she filed a complaint with the Two Town police station with evidence.
However, the police have not arrested the accused inspector so far.
