'The Michael J. Fox Show' has been cancelled by NBC within its first season.

The 52 year-old Canadian-American actor's show was aimed at achieving its previous success but it wasn't as glorious as he would have hoped, Contactmusic reported.

Fox had taken a hiatus from the small screen after suffering from Parkinson's disease and the show was meant to be his successful return to television.
